Artist: Christophe Huet – http://www.christophehuet.com/
Introduction
Christophe Huet is my chosen photoshop artist. He creates surreal images; which usually have a hidden meaning. A lot of his manipulated images are to promote companies.
Using Christophe Huet’s techniques in photo manipulation I made the project personal to my own interests as well as including memories of my friends and the memory of my Nan who passed away during the project. Two of my images (Image 9 & Image 11) are in dedication to my Nan (descriptions on detailed report).
About Huet
“Christophe Huet composites computer generated art and photography in order to melt the barrier between waking life and the dream world within his wonderfully surreal advertisements. He is what we are all about at Creative Tempest, having no reservations on your imagination, and that is why he is our second featured artist of the week.” – http://www.creativetempest.com/photo-composite/christophe-huet/
French Photoshop artist Christophe Huet makes surreal urban images which usually have a meaning. A lot of his images have a comedy angle around it, some with an ironic meaning: Superman on life support (left). This image is ironic as superman is supposed to be invulnerable. This photo could mean nobody is indestructible, or could be a reference to the “curse of superman” (pop culture reference of every person who has played superman in a film or series has either been ill, passed away or had bad luck in their career).

Over the web he is referred as “The master photo manipulator”. He is also known as the “French (Re) touch”. A lot of his photoshopped images are used as advertisement for some major companies or campaigns.
